The Ashes Barns Endon Wedding Photography: On Saturday I was in Staffordshire photographing Lucinda and Spencer’s wedding which took place at the Ashes Barns (https://theashes-venue.co.uk/) near Leek. The weather forecast was for a dry morning and heavy showers in the afternoon.

I met up with the groom and his best men in Leek where they were all getting ready.

Spencer, the groom is my fiancée’s cousin which was fun for me shooting a family wedding.

I then made the journey to Newcastle-under-Lyme where the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready.

The ceremony was taking place at Our Lady & St Werburgh Catholic Church in Newcastle-under-Lyme. I caught up with the grooms men for a few photographs before the bridal party arrived.

As it was raining we had the group photographs inside the church, before making our way to Endon and the Ashes Barns.

The Ashes Barns wedding venue is beautiful and a private, family-run, in a gorgeous fifty acre estate, at the foothills of the Peak District National Park.

The drinks reception took place in the West Barn.

We ventured outside for the wedding portraits, it was light rain and we took the umbrellas!

The balcony was useful and we were able to do the big group photograph after all.

It was time for the speeches followed by the wedding breakfast in the East Barn.

Each table had a nominated guest as a carver with outfits supplied.

We went for some night shots, with the aid of some off camera flash and lighting.

The couple then cut their cake and had their first dance with music and entertainment provided by The Chaperones (http://thechaperones.co.uk).

There was also a photobooth picture mirror.

I had an amazing time with Lucinda and Spencer and it was a real Christmas feel to the day.

Needham House Hotel Autumn Wedding Photography: On Saturday I photographed Sue and Rich’s wedding at Needham House Hotel (https://www.needhamhouse.co.uk/) in Little Wymondley near Stevenage in Hertfordshire.

I arrived at Needham House Hotel about an hour before the ceremony as this was a short day coverage. My aim was to capture as much of the emotion and tell the story of the day through my photographs, covering the ceremony, and the drinks reception.

I caught up with the bride who was almost ready to get in the dress.

The flowers were by Sophie Rose Flowers (https://www.facebook.com/sweetsplendorsophie/) and looked great!

The groom and guests were starting to gather in the bar area.

After the ceremony we headed outside for the drinks reception. The weather was warmer than normal for the time of year, and it was sunny too.

I took lots of group photographs that the couple had requested and then took them for their wedding portraits using the gardens at Needham House.

The wedding breakfast was due to take place in the marquee.

The couple had an amazing “reveal” cake… looked amazing!

I had a great time with Sue and Rich, and wish them all the best for their future together. With the evening light drawing in quite early, I did manage to get a quick sunset shot too.

Cheshunt Wedding Photography Hertfordshire

Cheshunt Wedding Photography Hertfordshire: On Saturday I photographed Chelsie and Bradley’s wedding at St Mary the Virgin Church (https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/7854/) in Cheshunt, and Halsey Masonic Hall also in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.

I arrived at the brides home on the afternoon of the wedding as it was a later ceremony. My aim was to tell the wedding story creatively through stylish pictures and to capture the wedding journey as it unfolded. As well as covering the natural moments, I also shot the wedding portraits and some family group photographs throughout.

I then left for the church where I met up with the groom, best man and usher.

The bride arrived with her mum who was accompanying her down the aisle.

After the ceremony we had a few photographs outside the church.

I then took the couple across the road to Whit Hern Park for their wedding portraits. Whit Hern Park is a lovely location for photographs and very handy it is next to the church and the registry office in Cheshunt.

We then took the short journey to Halsey Masonic Hall.

After the speeches the couple had their first dance.

We also managed to capture a sunset photograph in the corner of the car park.
