Room In The Rodings Wedding Photography: On Saturday I photographed Claire and Kim’s wedding at The Room In The Rodings ( in Beauchamp Roding near Ongar in Essex.

I arrived at the brides home a couple of hours before the ceremony for some getting ready photographs.

It wasn’t long before the bride was in her dress and we had a few photographs outside in the garden.

I then took the short journey to The Room In The Rodings and met up with the groom.

The three little page boys looked very smart in their matching suits.

The bride arrived with her father and it was time for the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony I took lots of casual shots of the guests enjoying the reception.

We did a few formal photographs but kept them to a minimum as the couple wanted a relaxed feel to their day.

I then took the couple around the venue gardens for a quick portrait shoot.

It was then time for the speeches followed by a lovely BBQ buffet.

The couple then cut their wedding cake and had their first dance.

They had a live band playing for the evening and they sounded great.

Wedding Photography at Room in the Rodings

Last Friday I photographed this wedding for Louise and Mark which took place at The Room In The Rodings ( near Ongar in Essex.

I arrived at the brides home on Canvey Island to capture the pre-wedding photographs and had a special request to take some shots with her dogs.

I then moved on to The Room In The Rodings for some shots with the groom and groomsmen. I also met up with the videographer, Peter from Cherished Moments ( who I have worked with before. It’s always good to work with people I’ve met before.

This is when the wedding became a little different to the norm as we all climbed aboard a rather large trailer being towed by a tractor.

We took the bumpy but very amusing journey to a place called The Meadow Pavillion ( which is deep in the middle of the countryside and awaited the brides entrance.

As The Meadow Pavillion is in the countryside it seemed fitting to take the group photographs there.

As I hadn’t taken my step ladder with me on the tractor, I used the next best thing and climbed on the back of the trailer to capture this aerial group shot.

The guests then headed back to The Room In The Rodings for the reception drinks and I took the opportunity of taking some romantic photographs with the couple.

We all headed back to the venue, myself and the videographer caught a ride with the events coordinator Mary in her Land Rover, that was a bit more comfortable :-) When we got back to the venue I took the couple out to the corn field which is at the back of the venue and was so pleased with the photos we got. The clouds were so dark they turned blue, was very dramatic!

It was then time for the wedding meal, speeches and the cutting of the cake. The food was amazing!

After the meal there was an almost sunset, I managed to capture some of the golden sky.

The evenings entertainment began with the first dance and the entertainment was provided by James from Piano DJ ( who is also an associate of mine.

I had a fun day and it was a real treat to photograph the outdoor ceremony at the Meadow Pavillion.
