Elsenham Golf Club Wedding Photography 2017: On Saturday I photographed Verity and Dominic’s wedding at Elsenham Golf Club (http://www.elsenhamgolfandleisure.co.uk/wedding-venue.html) near Stansted in Essex. The forecast was for mixed weather conditions.

Specialising in natural wedding photography, I spend a lot of time looking for those candid moments, the genuine smiles and emotion from the day. I don’t want my couples to remember having lots of photographs taken, I want to surprise them with the things they didn’t see me taking and the things they might have missed. I try to blend into the background as much as I can trying not to disturb the natural moments unfolding in front of me. The bridal party were getting ready at the family home.

I was photographing alongside videographers, Harry and Dan, from K & K Weddings (http://www.kandkweddings.co.uk/) and they were very easy to work with.

It was raining when I left their home, but when I arrived at the Elsenham Golf Club it was dry again. I met up with the guys.

The bridal party weren’t far behind.

After a rain shower we had just enough time for a couple of group photographs before a thunder storm arrived.

After the reception drinks everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast.

The rain finally withdrew and we went for the wedding portraits, on a golf buggy to some locations on the golf course.

When we returned we finished off the group photographs that were delayed by the rain.

The couple then had their first dance.

The evenings entertainment was provided by live band, Pharaoh and The Beats (https://www.pharaohandthebeats.com/) and they sounded great!

There was an opportunity for a dramatic sunset style photograph. I had a great day with Verity and Dominic and we didn’t let the challenges of the weather get the better of us!

Wedding Photography at the Reid Rooms – April 2017

Wedding Photography at the Reid Rooms April 2017. On Saturday I photographed Leah and Tom’s wedding at the Reid Rooms (http://www.thereidrooms.co.uk) in Margaret Roding, near Chelmsford in Essex.

I arrived at the Reid Rooms on the morning of the wedding, it was surprisingly sunny and warm for April!

The bridal party were getting ready in the farmhouse.

The groom and his best men arrived.

After the wedding ceremony we all headed out for the drinks reception.

After some group photographs, we went for a quick wander for the bride and grooms wedding portraits.

Wedding magician, Luke Clough (http://www.lukecloughmagic.co.uk) was keeping the guests amused with his amazing skills and banter.

It was then time for all the guests to head inside for the speeches followed by the wedding breakfast. Feasts and Flowers (http://www.feastsandflowers.com) were the caterers and it was awesome! Darcie and Ruby had dressed the venue (https://www.darcieandrubyvintagechinahire.co.uk).

After the meal we had a few more photographs by the farmhouse in the evening light.

My good friends Piano DJ (https://www.pianodj.co.uk) were the day and evening entertainment, Tim had been playing piano through-out the reception and Will took over for the evening party.

I had a lovely day with Leah and Tom, and I was so pleased the weather was so good for the time of year!

Wedding Photography Bishops Stortford – September 2016: Back in September, I photographed Ola and David’s wedding in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.

I arrived at the family home where the groom was getting ready. It was forecast to be a wet day.

We did manage to get outside in the back garden for a couple of photos as it was very light drizzle.

I then went to the couple’s home where the bride and bridal party were getting ready. Yellow Lizard Media (http://www.yellowlizardmedia.co.uk/) were the videographers on the day.

The ceremony took place at St James The Great Church in Thorley. They also had Chris Webb the Toastmaster (http://www.the-toast-master.com/) who I have worked with a few times.

We arrived at the marquee in Bishops Stortford where the champagne reception was taking place.

The couple entered the marquee to a Russian tradition of “pie and salt” which is offered to newlyweds by both parents as a symbol of health, prosperity and long life. They both take a bite and the groom has salt as after that all days will be sweet.

After many candid photos inside the marquee, we went outside for a few photographs as the rain was looking to stop.

Just enough time for a big group photo and some wedding portraits in the orchard.
