Great Hallingbury Manor Wedding Photography 2017: On Sunday I photographed Georgina and John’s wedding which took place at Great Hallingbury Manor (http://www.greathallingburymanor.co.uk/), near Bishops Stortford on the Hertfordshire and Essex border. Forecast was for a dry but cloudy day, which for a photographer means perfect soft light for photographs and minimal shadows.

I arrived at Great Hallingbury Manor on the morning of the wedding to start capturing the wedding day and to tell Georgina and John’s story. I took lots of natural and candid photographs as well as some formal and posed up shots along with the wedding portraits. Everything is shot in colour, but some of the photos were screaming to be black and white.

My aim is to capture real emotions and moments that unfold in front of me.

It wasn’t long before the groom and the chaps arrived.

After the ceremony we took advantage of the dry weather and had some family group photographs before inviting the couple away for a few minutes for their wedding portraits.

This area behind the car park made for some lovely photographs, and gave me an idea for later.

After the meal and speeches I captured some natural moments outside, before it was time for the cake and first dance.

Lloyd was the DJ for the evening and kept everyone entertained.

We returned to the area behind the car park and I took some stunning sunset style shots using my off camera flash set up.

I had a lovely day with Georgina and John, and was made to feel very welcome by all their friends and family.

Bishops Stortford Lemon Tree Wedding

Bishops Stortford Lemon Tree Wedding: On Friday I had a short day coverage wedding for Catherine and Ian which took place in Bishops Stortford at the Registry Office (https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/statweb/movingeye/bishopsstortford.htm) and the reception was at the Lemon Tree Restaurant (http://www.lemontree.co.uk/). There were only 19 guests making it a more intimate family occasion. I took lots of natural photographs to tell the story of their day.

I arrived at the registry office in Bishops Stortford and caught the guests arriving prior to the ceremony.

The registry office is a beautiful old building situated next to the river Stort and the couple were getting married in ceremony room 1.

The bride arrived in a bright red Ferrari, and I heard it coming before I could see it.

After the ceremony we took the short journey to the Lemon Tree Restaurant, and they had the reception drinks in the courtyard.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast.

Elsenham Golf Club Wedding Photography 2017

Elsenham Golf Club Wedding Photography 2017: On Saturday I photographed Verity and Dominic’s wedding at Elsenham Golf Club (http://www.elsenhamgolfandleisure.co.uk/wedding-venue.html) near Stansted in Essex. The forecast was for mixed weather conditions.

Specialising in natural wedding photography, I spend a lot of time looking for those candid moments, the genuine smiles and emotion from the day. I don’t want my couples to remember having lots of photographs taken, I want to surprise them with the things they didn’t see me taking and the things they might have missed. I try to blend into the background as much as I can trying not to disturb the natural moments unfolding in front of me. The bridal party were getting ready at the family home.

I was photographing alongside videographers, Harry and Dan, from K & K Weddings (http://www.kandkweddings.co.uk/) and they were very easy to work with.

It was raining when I left their home, but when I arrived at the Elsenham Golf Club it was dry again. I met up with the guys.

The bridal party weren’t far behind.

After a rain shower we had just enough time for a couple of group photographs before a thunder storm arrived.

After the reception drinks everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast.

The rain finally withdrew and we went for the wedding portraits, on a golf buggy to some locations on the golf course.

When we returned we finished off the group photographs that were delayed by the rain.

The couple then had their first dance.

The evenings entertainment was provided by live band, Pharaoh and The Beats (https://www.pharaohandthebeats.com/) and they sounded great!

There was an opportunity for a dramatic sunset style photograph. I had a great day with Verity and Dominic and we didn’t let the challenges of the weather get the better of us!
