Little Hallingbury Mill Wedding Photography 2017: On Saturday I photographed Sharon and Mark’s wedding at Little Hallingbury Mill (http://www.littlehallingburymill.co.uk/) near Bishops Stortford on the Hertfordshire and Essex border.

Little Hallingbury Mill is a Hotel and Bistro situated on the Essex/Hertfordshire border set alongside a pretty tributary of the River Stort. It was my first time photographing at this venue and there were lots of great locations for wedding photographs. My aim was to capture the expression and emotion from the wedding and to tell the story through my photographs.

The bride was getting ready in Little Hallingbury Mill House.

The ceremony took place in the Mill.

We did manage to get a sunset style photograph across the other side of the canal.

I had a lovely time with Sharon, Mark and their family and friends. Richard and Miranda were great hosts and I really enjoyed photographing at their wedding venue!

Autumn Wedding Photography at Blake Hall Essex

Autumn Wedding Photography at Blake Hall Essex: On Friday I photographed Diane and Nick’s wedding at the lovely Blake Hall (https://www.blakehall.net/) in Ongar, Essex.

I arrived at the bride’s home near Bishops Stortford on the morning of the wedding where the bride and her family were getting ready. The weather forecast for the day was for possible showers and cloudy. My aim is to tell the story of the wedding through my photography, capturing real emotions and natural moments as they happen, as well as some of the formal and posed photographs.

I then made the short journey to Blake Hall as the rain clouds gathered.

The ceremony took place in the Hay Barn which makes a beautiful setting, a warm feel of natural wood.

After the ceremony it was light drizzle and we managed to go outside for the big group photograph before the rain came down.

The rest of the drinks reception took place back inside the Hay Barn and an amazing singer entertained everyone.

Towards the end of the drinks reception there was a break in the rain so we decided to pop to the gardens for a few wedding portraits.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast in the Essex Barn followed by the speeches.

After the speeches the couple had their first dance.

We managed to get a sunset shot. I had a lovely day with Diane and Nick, and the rain certainly didn’t dampen the mood of the day.

Great Hallingbury Manor Wedding Photography 2017

Great Hallingbury Manor Wedding Photography 2017: On Sunday I photographed Georgina and John’s wedding which took place at Great Hallingbury Manor (http://www.greathallingburymanor.co.uk/), near Bishops Stortford on the Hertfordshire and Essex border. Forecast was for a dry but cloudy day, which for a photographer means perfect soft light for photographs and minimal shadows.

I arrived at Great Hallingbury Manor on the morning of the wedding to start capturing the wedding day and to tell Georgina and John’s story. I took lots of natural and candid photographs as well as some formal and posed up shots along with the wedding portraits. Everything is shot in colour, but some of the photos were screaming to be black and white.

My aim is to capture real emotions and moments that unfold in front of me.

It wasn’t long before the groom and the chaps arrived.

After the ceremony we took advantage of the dry weather and had some family group photographs before inviting the couple away for a few minutes for their wedding portraits.

This area behind the car park made for some lovely photographs, and gave me an idea for later.

After the meal and speeches I captured some natural moments outside, before it was time for the cake and first dance.

Lloyd was the DJ for the evening and kept everyone entertained.

We returned to the area behind the car park and I took some stunning sunset style shots using my off camera flash set up.

I had a lovely day with Georgina and John, and was made to feel very welcome by all their friends and family.
